EBI or Employment Background Investigations Inc. has announced the addition of KINEXON SafeZone to its Workplace Health & Safety solution for distance monitoring and contact tracing. As per the press release, the end-to-end system developed by EBI partner KINEXON is the world’s most trusted solution to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. Under the latest remote control system, workers wear a very lightweight (15 grams) KINEXON SafeTag, which uses ultra-wideband technology in order to show their proximity to each other. The device sends a warning to another individual when the employee is too near and sends all information to the command center of the organization. The technology also enables precise and effective tracing of contacts.

When someone becomes sick, contact tracking helps an organization to locate employees who are closer than possible quickly and warn them of their potential exposure. EBI Workplace Health & Safety sends notices and information on testing or quarantining via mobile application while safeguarding the identity of the affected employee. The whole process is automated so that potential chains of infection can be traced immediately.
“Maintaining physical distance is one of the most important things we can do to avoid COVID-19 and other infectious diseases,” said RJ Frasca, Vice President of Product and Marketing, EBI Inc. “The KINEXON SafeZone distance monitoring & contact tracing component helps companies ensure compliance with social distancing, which makes employees feel more confident in returning to work as there is a true effort being taken to keep people safe.”
“The goal with COVID-19 or any other infectious disease is to stop the spread as quickly as possible while allowing a business to keep running – and effective technology is the key,” continued Frasca. “Data from our partner KINEXON shows that more than 70% of critical contacts may be missed without a digital tracing solution as part of an interview-based contact tracing protocol, which is a staggering statistic. In contrast, three out of four users feel safer at work while wearing a SafeTag contact tracing device. The numbers speak for themselves.”

Additionally, in October 2020, Employment Background Investigations Inc. (EBI), one of the nation’s largest privately-held employee background screening firms, announced the launch of its Workplace Health & Safety Solution, an end-to-end system designed to meet the safety and health risk needs for small, mid-size, and large enterprises during the pandemic and beyond.
In the coming years, there are many innovations and it’s a little overwhelming to think of workers who are returning to their employment. As a result, companies do their utmost to reduce the risk to consumers and employees. Some of these tactics that can make the transition easy are social distancing protocols and implementation, limiting how many employees should be allowed to work initially, setting up new employee guidelines to workplace safety, modifying the workplace, reducing the work hours, providing PPEs, regular employee and visitors screening, and most importantly, maintaining good cleaning and hygiene habits.
