- Maximus recognized for including veteran-owned business in their supplier programs
Maximus, a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced that it had earned the 2022 Military Friendly Employer Gold designation, the highest possible ranking, and the Military Friendly Supplier Diversity recognition. This is the first time Maximus has received the Gold designation and the second time receiving the Military Friendly designation. Maximus earned the Gold designation in the $1 billion to $5 billion revenue category for its commitment to hiring, tracking, and retaining veterans, both active duty and reserve, and military spouses.
“At Maximus, we have always been committed to supporting our nation’s military and those who served”
In addition, Maximus also earned the Military Friendly Supplier Diversity Award, which recognizes companies that demonstrate their commitment to the veteran community by the extent to which they include veteran-owned businesses in their supplier diversity programs.

“At Maximus, we have always been committed to supporting our nation’s military and those who served,” said Bruce Caswell, President and Chief Executive Officer. “The recognition for our company as a Military Friendly Employer is further validation of our approach, as we value the veterans who work at Maximus and look forward to continuing our work with that community.”
Military Friendly is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community. Organizations must complete surveys that consist of more than 100 questions and cover key areas determined to be important factors in supporting military talent. The surveys are reviewed and developed by the independent Military Friendly Advisory Council.

“As a veteran working for Maximus, it’s very rewarding to see our company recognized for our efforts with veterans,” said Dr. Michael Weiner, Chief Medical Officer, Maximus, who graduated from the Naval Academy, served in the Navy, and was Chief Medical Officer of the global Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. “Many companies say they support veterans, but Maximus has gone above and beyond to prove their support through meaningful actions.”
This is the second veteran-focused award that Maximus has won in recent months. In August, U.S. Veterans Magazine named Maximus to its annual list of Top Veteran-Friendly Companies.
