Autosoft Recognized by APA for Promoting Employee Well-being and Performance

Organization receives workplace award from American Psychological Association

Pennsylvania-based Autosoft, Inc., a leading national automotive dealer SaaS platform provider known for its Dealer Management System (DMS), has received its fourth recognition for excellence in health and wellness in the workplace. The American Psychological Association has named Autosoft as a recipient of the 2019 National Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award—the organization’s highest workplace recognition—at the award ceremony on March 28 in Washington, D.C.

According to the APA, Autosoft excelled in its efforts to foster employee involvement, health and safety, employee growth and development, work-life balance, and employee recognition. “Employees notice when an organization legitimately cares about their well-being and are more likely to be satisfied with their jobs, committed to the organization, and motivated to do their best,” says David W. Ballard, PsyD, MBA, head of APA’s Psychologically Healthy Workplaces program and its Office of Applied Psychology, which hosts the annual awards. He goes on, “Organizations like Autosoft recognize the importance of creating a work environment where employees and the organization can thrive.”

In addition, employee attitudes and opinions, the role of communication in the organization, and the benefits realized in terms of both employee health and well-being and organizational performance are additional factors considered.

Bryce Veon, Autosoft founder and CEO, says, “Providing a healthy work environment for our employees is a top priority at Autosoft.” This is evidenced by health and wellness initiatives like health fairs, wellness activities that generate monetary contributions to employee HSA accounts, healthy snacks, and onsite massages.

Denise Yarian, Autosoft benefits and wellness manager, adds, “Our employees have a voice on four committees that drive staff involvement in the areas of community service, employee appreciation, safety and wellness.” The wellness committee involves employees in its decision-making process monthly when it discusses a wide array of program ideas for use onsite and with remote employees. She adds, “Learning to work together within work teams and as a committee helps to facilitate a sense of comradery.”

“We want our people to feel valued and heard,” Veon concludes. In order for them to have a platform for feedback and suggestions the company hosts regular lunch and learns. And Officevibe is an anonymous feedback system where anyone can offer up suggestions on ways to make the company better for its customers and an even better place to work.

The announcement comes weeks after Autosoft was named as a 100 Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania in the medium-sized company category by Team Pennsylvania for the fifth year running and the Best and Brightest in Wellness award. The company received the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Honors in 2018, making it eligible for this national award.
