2024 “State of the Intranet” report reveals organizations leveraging AI in intranets outperform their peers, boosting employee retention, culture and operational efficiency.

Simpplr, provider of the most comprehensive employee experience management (EXM) platform, today released its annual “State of the Intranet and Future of Employee Technology” report. The new research is the first to quantify the impact of intranets on core business metrics, revealing that organizations embracing AI-driven solutions are reaping significant rewards in revenue, employee retention and operational efficiency. The report examines how next-generation intranets are having a transformative and measurable impact on employee engagement, internal communications and business productivity.

The study, which surveyed over 1,000 senior HR, IC, IT and Operations professionals across industries, found that 94% of companies with next-generation intranets saw a positive impact on revenue, with 52% experiencing increases of 50% or more. Additionally, 93% noted enhanced profitability, with 50% seeing increases of 50% or more, and 95% of organizations with AI-powered intranets saw a 50% boost in productivity.
