Integrated Partners’ retirement planning and pension services arm Integrated Pension Services has partnered with well-known industry thought leader Jason Grantz as Managing Director of Institutional Retirement Sales and Marketing.
“There has never been a better time for a collaborative and passionate team like Integrated Pension Services to be in business, and Jason is a huge part of our strategy for what’s ahead.”
In this role, Mr. Grantz is responsible for educating financial advisors and their clients about topics relating to retirement plans and third-party administrative services.
Mr. Grantz’s hiring comes after Integrated Pension Services acquired Benefits 21.
“In the past year, we have nearly doubled the size of the team and we have a clear strategy for more growth ahead,” said Will Hackler, Director of Retirement Plans at Integrated Partners. “There has never been a better time for a collaborative and passionate team like Integrated Pension Services to be in business, and Jason is a huge part of our strategy for what’s ahead.”
Passionate about clarifying misconceptions about retirement planning, Mr. Grantz is the co-creator and primary author of The 401(k) Plan Blog. He has also been published in several industry journals, including the Journal of Pension Benefits, the Journal of Compensation and Benefits and the ASPPA Journal.
Mr. Grantz is focused on working to expand retirement security nationally and helping defeat elder poverty by creating more well-designed plans.
“Retirement coverage is among the biggest societal problems we have in this country,” he said. “Less than two thirds of working Americans have access to an employer-sponsored retirement plan, and of the group with access, only 20% to 40% are on track to successfully retire and replace their paycheck in a way that is sustainable for the rest of their life. That is why we are facing elder poverty issues in this country.”
With the heart of a teacher and the passion of an experienced consultant, Mr. Grantz thrives as both a leader and a communicator. He is adept at taking complex subject matters and explaining them in a way that is both intuitive and straightforward.
“My mission is our opportunity here at Integrated Pension Services,” Mr. Grantz said. “If we can help get more plans established then we will get more people saving for retirement. I know this mission isn’t unique, but with hard work and passion, we can make a real impact.”
Mr. Grantz was the Director of Institutional Retirement Consulting at Unified Trust Company for more than a dozen years. Before that, he was Assistant Vice President of retirement plans at AllianceBernstein.
