New payroll integration reduces unemployment management costs, streamlines verification of income and employment and improves Work Opportunity Tax Credit rate
Experian, a global data and technology company, today announced a new payroll integration with UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, workforce management and culture solutions. With more than 350 technology and services partners, UKG provides one of the largest and most collaborative partner ecosystems in the HCM industry focused on creating better employee experiences and improving business outcomes. The Experian and UKG integration is set to reshape the way employers manage essential workforce operations by enhancing efficiency, security and cost-effectiveness.
Why it matters:
- Simplified processes: Employers often juggle multiple HR, tax and payroll tasks, each requiring dedicated solutions from multiple vendors. This complexity can lead to inefficiencies, increased costs and potential security risks.
- Streamlined and secure workflows: The new API integration allows UKG clients to seamlessly, instantly and securely transfer employees’ payroll information between Experian Employer Services and UKG Pro™ to streamline data collection for critical workforce management tasks.
- Comprehensive benefits: The integration provides a unified solution for Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) claims, unemployment management and verification fulfillment services, consolidating multiple services under one provider.

“Our integration with UKG represents a significant leap forward in streamlining essential HR, tax and payroll functions,” said Anne Obee, vice president of Experian Employer Services. “This partnership underscores our commitment to enhancing workforce management through innovative solutions. By streamlining the management of critical tasks through one secure payroll integration, we’re empowering employers to focus more on strategic initiatives and their people rather than operational hurdles.”
The integration and Experian’s API-driven technology offer several benefits, including:
- Improved speed, security and accuracy of verification of income and employment fulfillment for employees
- Automated unemployment claims management to reduce risk, maintain compliance and reduce the burden of handling unemployment benefits
- The ability to earn tax credits for every eligible new hire using Experian’s WOTC survey, which minimizes candidate dropout and opt-out and averages less than 60 seconds per screening
“Our partnership ecosystem helps us support our customers with seamless solutions that improve business outcomes and inspires people,” says Mike May, vice president of technology partnerships at UKG. “Partners like Experian allow us to extend our capabilities and deliver technology that elevates the workplace experience and meet the needs of people throughout their life work journey.”
Experian launched its Employer Services business for employers seeking a better service experience for themselves and their employees. The business offers critical solutions HR, payroll and tax professionals count on.
