5W Public Relations, one of the 15 largest independently-owned PR firms in the US, is pleased to announce the start of their second annual 5W University training program. The program offers employees a syllabus of varied courses designed to deliver in-depth industry knowledge, enhance expertise, and support personal development.
Employees will be able to choose from a mix of topics and instructors (both internal and external) selected to challenge their minds and provide them with new skills for their professional toolbox. The program kicked off on March 1, 2020 and will run through Dec 31, 2020, with a required amount of courses (half mandatory, half electives) based on employee level.

Several of the 5W University courses will be led by senior employees, which will provide both teachers and students a myriad of benefits. Senior employees will get the ability to mentor and lead the next generation of publicists, and junior employees will gain insight into the most up-to-date strategies and practices, while getting a better understanding of their potential career path.
Course topics will include focuses on writing, crisis communications, HR, social media, digital strategies, and pitching. Additionally, 5W University will also provide extensions of the company’s Power Series, an internal program head by CEO and Founder Ronn Torossian, to foster the education and inspiration of employees.
