Kurmi Software has expanded its presence in North America with new leadership hires to support accelerated growth in its largest market. The appointments include Eric Olson, Vice President, Sales, who brings more than 15 years’ experience in unified communications (UC) having led UCaaS sales for PGi across North America, and Debra Perry, Vice President, Alliances, who joins with deep experience in both direct and indirect selling, previously serving as VP, Mid-Market Americas for Anaplan.

North America’s largest banks, hospitals, universities, and telcos already rely on Kurmi for simplified, smarter, and automated unified communications and collaboration (UCC) management. The company’s newly augmented North American leadership team enables it to address further market demand from enterprises challenged with managing user administration and management at scale during a period of accelerated digital transformation and a permanent shift to hybrid work environments.

Joining from virtual networking firm, PGi, where he served as VP UCaaS Sales North America, Eric Olson, brings a wealth of UCC sales experience to Kurmi. Olson has previously held senior positions at Vonage Business, where he operated as Director Enterprise Sales and, prior to that, VP of Sales Americas at workspace scheduling company, Condeco Software, with responsibility for all sales activity within the Americas region.

“Kurmi solves a clear problem for organizations, and it’s one that I’ve come across many times throughout my career in this industry: user implementation and management,” explained Olson. “Whether it’s an enterprise adopting UC for the first time or adding new collaboration tools, the implementation and rollout of these services is time-consuming and expensive. When I combine Kurmi’s ability to solve this problem, its global reach, and best-in-class R&D, with my own experience in this sector building and developing sales organizations, joining the company was a no-brainer.”

New Kurmi VP, Alliances, Debra Perry, joins from Anaplan with responsibility for defining the company’s North American partner strategy. Prior to that, Perry worked as Senior Director, Global Technology Partners, for pioneering Business Intelligence (BI) leader Qlik, where she led alliance programs with OEMs, consulting firms and resellers. Perry’s strengths include building and growing long term, mutually valuable relationships with both customers and partners to drive solutions, cost savings and revenue.

On her appointment, Perry said, “I am excited to join Kurmi at this pivotal point in the organization’s journey and look forward to working with my new colleagues to further establish the company in the North American market as we build out our network of strategic alliances. I have been inspired by Kurmi’s commitment to both innovation and creating the best possible working environment and culture to support each and every Kurmi team member.”

From banks to universities, hospitals to energy and aerospace, Kurmi is trusted by the world’s largest enterprises and MSPs to deliver transparency and control of users on “unified” communications and collaboration (UCC) platforms. Its award-winning, tech-agnostic management solution handles the most complex UCC environments, streamlining and simplifying user administration and saving up to 80% of day-to-day user management costs.

“For businesses already challenged with complexity, fragmentation, and lack of automation across multiple communications platforms and collaboration tools, the pandemic response highlighted a critical need for a ‘re-unification’ of enterprise communications,” explains Pascal Moindrot, COO and Co-Founder, Kurmi. “This commitment to expansion is a direct response to the increased demand we are seeing from large enterprises across North America, and we are delighted to welcome Eric and Debra to our team as we move into this next phase of growth.”

With the majority of Kurmi’s US team operating from its New York headquarters, the company plans to double its current North American headcount. New hires will be in the areas of sales, marketing, professional services, and support, all of whom will help accelerate the delivery of Kurmi’s regional offering to both existing and prospective enterprise customers and Managed Service Providers.
