Benefitfocus Recognized as Benefits Industry Innovator

InfoArmor and Ultimate Software Award Company for Technology Impact

Benefitfocus, Inc., a leading cloud-based benefits management platform and services provider, has been recognized by InfoArmor and Ultimate Software, two of the company’s integration partners, as a benefits industry innovator. The companies each named Benefitfocus a winner of their partner ecosystem awards for its commitment to excellence, impact and collaboration in transforming the benefits industry.

Benefitfocus was awarded the 2019 Ecosystem Innovation Award at this year’s InfoArmor Partner Summit, an annual event that honors the nation’s best benefit brokers and ecosystem partners. The Ecosystem Innovation Award, new this year, recognizes the organization that best illustrates an unwavering commitment to innovating technology and helping consumers navigate benefits decisions for the moments that matter most.

“Innovation is a critical component of employee identity protection and should play an equally important role in how benefits are implemented, communicated, enrolled and managed,” said Meghann Carroll, InfoArmor EVP of Sales. “We chose Benefitfocus as the recipient of this year’s Ecosystem Innovation Award due to its unending drive to continually reinvent itself and the products it offers to employers and consumers. Their commitment to innovation has made the entire benefits community sharper, and it’s helped InfoArmor further our mission to protect employers, employees and their loved ones.”

Benefitfocus was also recognized for its exceptional work as an integration partner by Ultimate Software during the Partner Meetup at the company’s annual Connections Conference. Benefitfocus associate Kevin Lauterbach was given the 2019 MVP Award, the first and only time the award has been given to an individual, in recognition of his work advancing the Benefitfocus-Ultimate Software integration. The MVP Award recognizes an individual who sets the bar for what it means to be the “ultimate” team player: showing the highest level of commitment, collaboration, communication and problem-solving.

“Benefitfocus is connecting the largest benefits ecosystem in unprecedented ways to make everything about benefits easier for consumers,” said Benefitfocus CEO Ray August. “We’re honored to be recognized by our ecosystem partners for the investments we are making to transform this industry.”
