Walmart Gets New Chief People Officer

Donna Harris  was recently appointed as Walmart’s Chief People Officer. In her new role at Walmart, Donna is set to focus on key Human Resource and Recruitment tasks like attracting, retaining and developing talent for Walmart who is also one of the world’s largest private employers.

Donna assumes her role at Walmart after an 18-year stint at Adobe, where she served as chief human resources officer and executive vice president of employee experience.

At Adobe, Donna was responsible for the company’s complete human resources, real estate and security operations. Besides this, she has helped implement several workplace-friendly initiatives at Adobe, including expanding family leave policies and simplifying overall HR processes.

Donna comes with nearly 20 years of leadership experience in activating and delivering innovative people management solutions. She is known to build and develop teams that operate in an agile way, while helping the business run a high-performance work culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.

While at Adobe, Donna’s strategies led to a 226% increase in workforce with its real estate facilities grown to over 75 locations worldwide.
As part of her previous stints, Morris was associated with Accelio, Fulcrum Software, and Rogers Communications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Carleton University and is a native of Ottawa, Canada.
