National Carrier Announces Major Workforce Expansion

Granite Seeks to Fill 250 Positions to Support Growth as it Celebrates its 20th Anniversary

Granite Telecommunications, a $1.75 billion provider of communications services to multilocation businesses and government agencies, announced plans to expand its workforce as a result of the company’s strong sales and financial performance in 2022. The company is seeking to immediately fill 250 high-wage jobs, including 70 tech positions at its headquarters near Boston and 11 regional offices throughout the U.S.

Granite has grown steadily since the company was founded 20 years ago in June 2002. As the Granite team kicked off a month full of 20-year anniversary festivities, the company reported it has exceeded its 2022 fiscal goal of $1.75 billion in annualized revenue and rewarded all Teammates with $500 bonuses. The company’s 20-year celebrations include a birthday party in downtown Boston, along with satellite celebrations at each of the company’s regional offices.

Over Granite’s 20-year history, the company’s early growth was fueled early on by Plain Old Telephone Services (POTS), but as the company innovates and evolves, its core business has been increasingly driven by advanced communications solutions. Long regarded as an industry leader in POTS, Granite has now emerged a leader in an array of technologies from cloud-delivered LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions to SD-WAN and POTS alternatives.

“At Granite, we succeed by listening to our customers, and what they’re telling us now is that they need the same type of assistance with data services as Granite has provided for voice services,” said Rob Hale, CEO and founder of Granite. “As we launch into our third decade of service, we’re committed to maintaining our industry-best support and service to a broader range of technical solutions. We’re just getting started.”
