“With this release, we’re not just adding features, we’re giving frontline operators the real-time data and AI-driven automation they need to make better decisions every day, from scheduling to compliance to employee safety.”

The release also continues Legion’s investment in AI for the frontline, introducing the new Legion AI Upper Field Schedule Assistant, which joins six Legion AI Assistants already in production: Schedule Assistant, Expression Assistant, Authoring Assistant, Translation Assistant, Forecast Explainer, and Shift Explainer.

“With this release, we’re not just adding features, we’re giving frontline operators the real-time data and AI-driven automation they need to make better decisions every day, from scheduling to compliance to employee safety. It reflects what we hear from customers: workforce management software should get out of the way and let managers focus on their people,” said Jayashree Varahan, Head of Product, Legion Technologies.

Spring 2026 Release Highlights

Among the more than 90 new capabilities, several stand out for how they apply AI and automation to everyday frontline challenges:

  • Legion AI Upper Field Schedule Assistant extends the Schedule Assistant to district and area leaders overseeing portfolios of stores, answering questions and summarizing performance across their locations. It also surfaces insights that were previously hard to uncover, flagging locations that need attention and spotting non-obvious patterns, such as manager edits that signal scheduling, forecasting, or training issues. Scoped to each leader’s organizational hierarchy and access permissions, it helps upper field leaders make better decisions, coach more effectively, and drive stronger performance across their portfolio.
  • Employee Safety Management lets employees confirm their safety with a single tap in the Legion mobile app during administrator-defined check-in windows. Missed check-ins automatically trigger an escalation path and populate a real-time dashboard for operators, with no separate app or vendor required.
  • KPI Productivity Metrics in Employee Rank brings real-time performance data from external systems directly into scheduling and shift-swap decisions, replacing manual, badge-based ranking.
  • Access to Hours Notifications for Fair Workweek Compliance lets managers send jurisdiction-specific notifications from the Schedule screen and track a prioritized response summary, supporting compliance across seven major Fair Workweek jurisdictions without manual tracking.
  • Punch Capture When Clock Flow Isn’t Completed ensures every clock action is recorded the instant an employee taps the Legion Time Clock, even if they walk away before finishing the questionnaire or attestation.
  • Document Hub gives employees one secure, central place for payslips, tax documents, HR files, policies, and announcements, with acknowledgment tracking and a full audit trail.
  • Ad Hoc Demand Forecast and Labor Guidance Refresh let planners trigger on-demand updates within a scenario workflow the moment conditions change, rather than waiting for the next scheduled run.
  • Global Compliance & Localization Enhancements enable multinational organizations to extend Time & Attendance into new regions by expanding localization and statutory compliance rules for the European and Chinese markets, and adding right-to-left Hebrew support in the console.

These are a sample of what’s new; the full Spring 2026 Release spans additional innovations across Scheduling, Time & Attendance, Employee Lifecycle Management, Labor Planning, and Platform & Reporting.
