Kestra Financial Expands Business Development Team Across the Western U.S.

Seasoned recruiter Austen Karr joins Kestra, as the firm promotes Jack Roller from within

Kestra Financial, an industry-leading wealth management platform, announced the continued expansion of its business development team with the addition of Austen Karr and the promotion of Jack Roller, both serving as Business Development Consultants. The two appointments extend Kestra’s recruiting coverage across the Western U.S., building on the firm’s continued focus on disciplined, advisor-centric growth across both Kestra Financial and its breakaway-advisor channel, Kestra Private Wealth Services (Kestra PWS).

Karr comes to Kestra from Raymond James, where he served as Vice President for nearly 11 years, and will cover Southern California, Colorado, Nevada, and Hawaii. He brings more than 15 years of experience in financial services across business development, recruiting, and distribution roles, including earlier positions at LPL Financial and MetLife. Throughout his career, he has consistently ranked among his firm’s top-performing recruiters.

Roller’s promotion reflects Kestra’s commitment to developing talent from within. Since joining the firm in 2022 as a Financial Planning Analyst, he has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility on the business development team, most recently serving as Senior Business Development Consultant. In his new role as Vice President, Business Development, he will lead recruiting across Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Alaska, bringing deep firsthand knowledge of Kestra’s platform and advisor community.

With coverage now spanning the Western U.S. and Pacific Northwest, the additions round out the firm’s national recruiting footprint, following its recent expansion across the Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast.

“As the quality and scale of our advisor community accelerates, we are equally focused on expanding the team that supports that growth,” said James Collins, EVP, Head of Business Development at Kestra Financial. “Austen brings deep recruiting experience and strong advisor relationships across the West, and Jack’s promotion reflects exactly the kind of talent and commitment we’re proud to develop and promote from within. Together, they strengthen our ability to thoughtfully align advisors with a platform built for long-term partnership and success.”
