Gather Sciences Launches Data-Driven Solution To Address Challenges Facing Hybrid Work Models

Workplace Technology Leader Creates Personalized Approach for Organizations with the Balanced Hybrid Framework

Gather Sciences, a workplace experience software company specializing in helping organizations unlock the full potential of hybrid work, announces the launch of Balanced Hybrid, a universal framework specifically designed to address today’s hybrid work challenges.

“Many of the hybrid programs in place today evolved from when offices first reopened during the pandemic”

Despite being the norm for almost three years, many companies still struggle to make the hybrid model work for associates and managers. A recent survey by Gallup found that some of the top-reported challenges of hybrid work were a disconnection from company culture, decreased team collaboration and difficulties coordinating schedules and timelines.

Gather Sciences Founder and CEO John Wichmann, a workplace technology entrepreneur with an extensive background in data and analytics, created The Balanced Hybrid framework. Having worked with dozens of organizations that followed various hybrid work strategies, Wichmann recognized that the challenges they faced were often due to either too little or too much structure.

“Many of the hybrid programs in place today evolved from when offices first reopened during the pandemic,” says Wichmann. “Due to health and safety concerns at the time, most organizations were very flexible, giving each associate the freedom to decide how often and when they would come into the office. Now that we are in a much better place, we need to return our attention to the team’s needs and recognize that the primary drivers of an associate’s in-office experience are whom they experience it with and what they do when together.”

Balanced Hybrid prioritizes meaningful in-person interactions, targeted activity and consistency to design a personalized hybrid model that allows for more predictable use of office space while creating a more impactful in-office experience. Proprietary software modules enable organizations to collect valuable data around office use and associate sentiment to establish a comprehensive overview to facilitate the streamlined creation of hybrid work plans tailored to the unique needs of a department or team.

“When you ask the right questions and bring together the right data, the insights can be incredible,” says Wichmann. “We have consistently seen that hybrid classified associates prefer a hybrid work plan designed around the needs of their team 9-to-1 over a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach.”
