“Usage of Teradici CAS Manager increased significantly during the pandemic with our customers managing growing PCoIP deployments, and we believe this will continue as businesses adopt long-term flexible work options,” said Ziad Lammam, VP, Product Management at Teradici. “We received a lot of feedback from customers who love the value-add of using CAS Manager included with their CAS enterprise subscription, but they wanted to manage their environment within their own infrastructure. We’re excited to deliver the flexibility today to install CAS Manager in any IT environment or continue to access it as a Teradici service.”

CAS Manager provides multicloud support across public, private or hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and on-premises data centers. In all deployment environments, it seamlessly manages remote desktops and workstations.

“The combination of HPE ProLiant servers and Teradici CAS can power any virtual desktop strategy,” said Mark Azadpour, Senior Product Manager, HPE Workload Solutions, Compute. “HPE customers will welcome CAS Manager’s brokering and management plane integrated with CAS to provide ultra-secure remote visualization of desktops and graphics-intensive applications.”

“Using Teradici CAS and CAS Manager allowed us to keep our more than 600 artists around the world creative and productive when we were forced to work from home during the pandemic,” said Darren Hyland, Director of Technology, Brown Bag Films, a leading creative-led animation studio. “Brown Bag Films is one of the most technically advanced studios, and our remote working technology is a big part of that. Teradici CAS gives our artists seamless access to our secure studio environment wherever they are, and that flexibility helps us hit our deadlines no matter what and continue to produce award-winning content.”

Automate and broker CAS deployments

CAS Manager enables fast and easy deployment of new remote desktops and workstations. IT administrators can:

  • Tap securely into existing Active Directory services, eliminating manual configuration tasks and improving administrative efficiency;
  • Facilitate secure connections between domain users and remote desktops and workstations without users having to memorize machine names or IP addresses; and
  • Provide users access to one or many remote desktops and workstations as desired, easily modifying, adding, or removing user access as needed.

Optimize costs and manage cloud consumption

CAS Manager makes provisioning and managing remote desktops and workstations easy, with a unified interface to scale resources up or down, actively control uptime service charges for public cloud remote desktops and workstations by turning off machines that are not in active use, and starting them up again when a user connects.

Secure CAS deployments

CAS Manager enables secure user entitlements by brokering PCoIP connections. It provides Multifactor Authentication (MFA) as an added security mechanism, as well as mainstay security features of the PCoIP protocol, such as AES-256 encryption and the PCoIP Security Gateway, which always provide a secure architecture independent of MFA settings.
