Workforce Opportunity Services Expands Partnership with Parsons Corporation on IT Service Center

WOS will provide Parsons a US technology service center staffed by veterans

Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS), the leading non-profit organization connecting underserved and veteran job seekers with transformative careers, proudly announces an expanded partnership with Parsons Corporation that will offer new professional development and career opportunities for veterans in Texas and North Carolina.

Both companies announced an initial partnership in September 2019. The new agreement adds digital services that will enhance Parsons service desk offerings by establishing a technology service center in Dallas, Texas, and Charlotte, NC.

“We are excited to expand this partnership with our longstanding ally Parsons,” stated Dr. Arthur Langer, Chairman, and Founder of WOS. “Having a professional management service provider like WOS provide strategic servicing is critical to getting results, lowering costs, and creating a future pipeline of talent that our partner companies can hire as employees. WOS currently provides multiple services in the Dallas region.

Dr. Langer also added, “Dallas and Charlotte are only the beginning. We are planning to open multiple all-in-one vendor solution facilities across the country that will allow potential partners to manage their project efficiently, while we deliver access to high-quality underserved and veteran employees. In doing so, we will achieve the speed and scalability that sets us apart from all other providers.”

“We are grateful for the sacrifices that our nation’s veterans have made in support of our freedom around the world,” said Carey Smith, president and chief operating officer of Parsons. “Partnering with Workforce Opportunity Services increases our internal efficiency, while ensuring that our men and women returning from combat have more opportunities to be successful.”

Parsons currently employees 1,076 US military veterans around the country. Their service, leadership and commitment has been invaluable to Parsons’ corporate goal of supporting global security and building a better world.

“The Workforce program has allowed us to quickly grow our support and digital offerings, providing improvement across many IT disciplines. At the same time, WOS gives us a great opportunity to give back to those who have served in the military protecting our country,” said Stu Kippelman, Parsons chief information officer. “The additional support and training that the candidates receive from the WOS program allows these candidates to build on the skills they learned in the military and transition them to the civilian workforce.

Staff that work at WOS facilities receive healthcare coverage, as well as college education tuition aimed at building their overall career trajectory.

Since its inception, WOS has provided organizations with outsourced technical and product support, allowing them to take advantage of the ever-growing alternative workforce while offering the highest quality of outsourced employment. In the past 12 months, WOS expanded to 65 locations across the country, affiliated with more than 70 corporate partners and has helped more than 5,500 individuals.
