The new members bring vast expertise and a history of professional excellence to the board:

As she transitions into a senior advisor role with Airbnb, she will also join the faculties of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business — where she once served as global chief diversity officer — and the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, where she will lead academic research in the areas of connection and belonging. Prior to joining Airbnb, Thomas-Hunt served as vice provost for inclusive excellence at Vanderbilt University. A widely published author, Thomas-Hunt has also taught MBAs and executive leadership, and conducted research for 25 years on the factors that unleash, leverage, and amplify the contributions made by individuals — particularly women, underrepresented individuals, and numerical minorities.
  • Recently named head of portfolio operations at Blackstone, Jennifer Morgan is responsible for overseeing all aspects of portfolio improvement. Morgan joined Blackstone in November 2020 as global head of portfolio transformation and talent, helping the firm’s more than 200 portfolio companies drive growth and digital transformation.
