Diversity and inclusion leader brings experience from Indeed and Nike to Seismic
Seismic, the industry-leading and award-winning sales enablement platform provider, today announced Donna DeBerry has joined as Vice President, Inclusion. At Seismic, Donna will lead efforts to build an even more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce and company culture. She will partner with multiple business leaders across talent acquisition, people operations, marketing, customer success and others to establish sustainable and measurable best practices based on her 30 years’ experience leading diversity and inclusion programs at global organizations.

Prior to joining Seismic, Donna was the director of inclusion at Indeed, where she was responsible for developing and embedding innovative global inclusion strategies. Before Indeed, Donna held leadership positions at Starbucks Corporation, Nike and Wyndham Worldwide, where she implemented diversity initiatives and strategies at a global scale. She’s also consulted numerous household-name brands on their diversity and inclusion strategies, including Coca-Cola, Toyota, Wendy’s, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the Olympics, AARP and many others. In addition, Donna’s work includes co-producing segments for The Oprah Winfrey Show and producing the award-winning documentary Walking the Waking Journey.

In her new role, Donna will work closely with the Seismic Global DEI Council, an employee-led committee founded in 2019 that collaborates with Seismic’s executive leadership team to provide recommendations for results-oriented strategies, methods of accountability, and the promotion of company-wide DEI education and communication. Outside the office, Donna serves as the CEO of the Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce, which works to uplift San Diego’s Black-owned businesses and build generational wealth.

Executive buy-in and accountability are essential to the success of inclusion strategies and initiatives,” said Donna. “Seismic is growing quickly, and I’m excited about the opportunity to build upon Seismic’s early work on an inclusion program. I’m looking forward to partnering with our employees and other members of the Seismic community — and having fun while doing it.”
Donna’s expertise in the global diversity space has been featured in media outlets including Fortune, Time, Money, Newsweek, Essence, Black Enterprise and Diversity Inc. She’s also taken the stage at industry events including SXSW and the National Diversity and Inclusion Conference. Donna holds a certificate in leadership development from Harvard University as well as a diversity and inclusion certificate from Yale University. She received a Bachelor’s in Intercultural/Multicultural and Diversity Studies from Thomas Edison State College. She is based in San Diego.
