PRIDE Industries announced today that its board of directors has appointed Jeffery Dern to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Dern was appointed President in 2018 by former CEO Michael Ziegler who sadly passed away in May 2020. Dern and Ziegler worked closely together as part of a succession plan in coordination with PRIDE’s board of directors.
“I am honored by the board’s trust and confidence in me, and am eager to lead PRIDE as we grow our mission to create jobs for people with disabilities,” Dern said. “I look forward to working with our many wonderful team members to achieve our ambitious goals and carry on Mike Ziegler’s legacy.”

Dern has spent the past 12 years contributing to PRIDE’s mission of creating jobs for people with disabilities. He joined the nonprofit social enterprise in 2008, and has held a variety of roles including Chief Financial Officer from 2016-2018. As President, he oversaw the company’s expansion into new markets, navigated PRIDE’s service offerings while keeping employee safety a top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued to expand the company’s mission to employ people with disabilities across the nation.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Jeff’s caliber at the helm,” said Bob Olsen, Chair of PRIDE’s board of directors. “He was Mike Ziegler’s choice to succeed him as CEO. Jeff knows our culture, businesses, customers and our employees well. He has a clear vision for PRIDE and stays true to our mission in everything we do.”
