PeopleGrove and @GiveCampus Announce a Partnership to Connect Alumni Value and Engagement to Giving. New partnership brings together two world-class solutions to help schools leverage the best technology for #alumnirelations and #fundraising.

“Advancement professionals know that the best campaigns are built around providing consistent value to their communities — giving more than they ask for,” said Adam Saven, CEO and Co-Founder of PeopleGrove. “Our partnership with GiveCampus will allow us to help these fundraisers connect the dots between those value-based engagement efforts and their impact on philanthropy.”

The partnership also brings together two of the most successful technology platforms serving educational institutions. PeopleGrove, recently recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in America by Inc. Magazine, continues to create new ways for alumni to give back outside of donations. This summer, PeopleGrove launched Bridges, a product where alumni offer short-term projects to students in a unique experience that combines connection, purpose, and real-world experiential learning that drives improved career outcomes for students and young alumni. Meanwhile, GiveCampus has now facilitated over $1 billion in charitable giving for schools, including $400 million in 2020.

A survey of advancement professionals over the summer found that more than 40% are projecting a 10% or larger decrease in fundraising revenue for FY20. With these challenges on the horizon, now is the time for organizations to ensure they are helping their community give back in more ways than one. For GiveCampus, this partnership opens more avenues for their partners to build deeper relationships with students, alumni, and other donors in their communities.

“We’ve always understood the importance of community in achieving fundraising goals,” said Kestrel Linder, CEO and Co-Founder of GiveCampus, “and hundreds of organizations have successfully built volunteer-led fundraising campaigns with GiveCampus. This partnership with PeopleGrove creates even more opportunities for our partner communities to give of their time and their talent, not just their treasure.”

With the GiveCampus integration, PeopleGrove partners will be able to connect fundraising campaigns on GiveCampus directly to their platform. Additionally, every dollar raised through those campaigns will directly be attributed to a donor’s engagement in that community.

“It’s often very hard to prove that correlation equals causation in fundraising,” Saven added. “Unless the donor voluntarily lists what inspired them to give, advancement offices are left to guess as to which of a dozen or more engagement points made direct impact. We’re excited that this integration has the potential to directly demonstrate just how important a network can be in driving donations.”

“It is exciting to see two mission-aligned technology companies integrate their products in this way,” said Susan deMuth, Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations at Johns Hopkins University. “It is foolish to assume any single platform can meet the broad needs of university organizations. Allowing partners to use best in class solutions that work together seamlessly demonstrates clear understanding of our needs as a customer.”
