California has proven itself a leader in regulatory frameworks that are serving as models for states across the U.S. This is especially true in the areas of sexual harassment prevention, as awareness of this issue has reached an all-time high, and data privacy, through the new California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) going into effect January 2020. Employers both within and outside the state must comply with these regulations that require employee training or face regulatory fines, reputational damage, and legal liability.

MediaPRO’s California Regulation TrainingPack combines computer-based training courses with other learning materials, including employee assessments and training videos and posters, to support a research-based approach addressing the most pressing compliance training problems faced by organizations doing business in, or serving consumers residing in, California.

With the California Regulation TrainingPack, organizations that need to comply with California’s most pressing regulations now have the tools to:

  • Meet regulatory training obligations with courses that meet both the topic coverage and length requirements of the targeted regulations
  • Engage employees with training that is highly interactive and filled with relevant real-world scenarios and examples
  • Show training effectiveness with employee knowledge assessments that provide insight into employee strengths and growth areas

“In these two critical areas—data protection and sexual harassment—we believe that merely meeting the requirements is not enough,” said MediaPRO Chief Learning Officer Dr. Tom Pendergast. “We study what it takes to really reach people and change their behavior, and our training reflects today’s best practices.”

In addition to the core training content, the California Regulation TrainingPack includes a pre-assessment tool to better align training to employee needs; the ability to tailor courses or build new ones from scratch; and a designated Customer Success Manager.
