Green Circle Life Annual Survey Finds Most HR Professionals Plan to Expand Benefits and Services due to COVID

Green Circle Life, provider of SmartFHR, an all-in-one communication and engagement app and web-based service that integrates wellness and healthcare services, released its annual survey which highlights trends and issues facing the HR industry. This survey collected data regarding how employers are looking to adjust and drive company changes in 2021.

The topics included, but were not limited to, healthcare costs, employee attraction and retention, company culture, benefits and services awareness and more. The survey was conducted in December 2020 with industry professionals, and more than 65% of respondents reported they were directly involved in HR initiatives at their company.

Highlights from HR professionals include:

  • 74% of participants reported they plan to expand benefits and services due to COVID to include telehealth as well as mental and behavioral health benefits;
  • 69% plan to make changes to their annual wellness program in 2021;
  • 39% reported their company is focusing on driving engagement and a cultural change;
  • 34% are focusing on work schedule flexibility and work-life balance to attract and retain talent; and
  • When asked about what new challenges COVID-19 created, 25% reported they struggled with managing a remote workforce.
