CBIZ Appoints John Cook as President of the Employee Benefits Service Line of the CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Division

Cook has propelled growth in his 15 years with CBIZ, supporting small- and middle-market businesses in designing innovative benefits solutions

CBIZ, Inc. (NYSE: CBZ), a leading provider of financial, insurance, advisory and other professional services, has appointed John Cook as President of its Employee Benefits service line. Cook, who has been with CBIZ for 15 years, will oversee the firm’s largest service line within the Benefits & Insurance Division and drive the continued growth of the employee benefits business.

Prior to his promotion, Cook served as the Chief Growth Officer for the Employee Benefits business with responsibility for all sales-related activities. Under his leadership, the team achieved record-setting sales growth in 2019. Cook joined CBIZ in 2005 as President of the Chicago market Employee Benefits operations following the acquisition of his firm. Since then, he held a variety of leadership roles and expanded his responsibilities within the employee benefits division. Cook reports to Michael Kouzelos, President, CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services, Inc., and will continue to serve as a member of CBIZ’s Benefits & Insurance Services Division Executive Leadership Team.
