“The B Corp mission resonates deeply with us – success is more than dollars, it’s how you make a difference in the world. It’s one thing to be successful in business and measure it financially. It’s another to make a broader, sustainable impact on the people, planet and environment around you,” said Keith Metcalfe, CEO at Traction Guest.
To obtain B Corp certification, a company must complete the B Impact Assessment – a comprehensive verification of a businesses’ impact on its workers, customers, community and environment – and make their B Impact Report transparent on bcorporation.net. B Corps are required to recertify every three years with the aim to track performance over time and ensure continuous improvement.
Traction Guest has also taken the 1% Pledge by committing its product and employees’ time to its communities and chosen causes. Spearheaded by Salesforce, Atlassian, Rally and Tides, Pledge 1% is a movement that integrates philanthropy into the core of business. Metcalfe added, “We are a purpose-driven company. Our commitment to achieving B Corp certification and joining the 1% Pledge reinforces our overarching mission of creating safer workplaces for employees, visitors and contractors.”
