Leading Tech Talent Creation Expert Launches Databricks Data Engineer Program

Revolent, a Tenth Revolution Group company and a Databricks Consulting Partner, has launched a Databricks Data Engineer talent program, designed in close collaboration with Databricks, the Data and AI company.

The program will equip the consultants (or ‘Revols’) with the Lakehouse Fundamentals badge, Apache Spark™ Developer, and Data Engineer Associate certifications. They will also gain deployment-ready skills with tools like Airbyte, Airflow, FiveTran, and Tableau. These skills include data modeling, scripting, visualization, and data engineering patterns, ensuring that the Data Engineers are fully prepared for deployment.

“We have worked closely with Revolent to develop a comprehensive Data Engineer training program that will create a robust talent pipeline to support the industry. I am excited about Revolent’s vision to create a Data and AI-ready talent for all customers,” commented Rochana Golani, VP of Learning and Enablement at Databricks.

With over 16,000 open roles for Data Engineers across the US and EMEA, there’s a global talent shortage of qualified data specialists. Having trained more than 1,000 learners across 20+ countries since its launch in 2020, Revolent will draw on its proven track record to cross-train experienced tech professionals as certified, delivery-ready Databricks Data Engineers, supporting Databricks’ ambitious growth projections.

“Our program goes well beyond certifications—the Revols spend at least 50% of their training time on hands-on application and real-life projects, ensuring they can put their new skills into practice as soon as they start their placement with our clients,” commented Ian Clark, CEO of Revolent.

Once the work placement has commenced, customers will be able to choose whether their new hires develop advanced capabilities in Data Engineering, generative AI, or Machine Learning, ensuring the Revols’ long-term success in their new careers.
