Chegg Announces Dr. Nina Huntemann as Its First Chief Academic Officer

Chegg, Inc., the leading student first connected learning platform, has named education leader and digital learning expert Dr. Nina Huntemann as its first Chief Academic Officer. In this newly created role, Huntemann is helping advance Chegg’s mission to activate the power of technology to provide students with the support they need to navigate their own academic journeys and succeed.

Dr. Huntemann is responsible for shaping and implementing Chegg’s learning strategy as well as measuring its impact. Her growing team of learning experience designers, researchers and instructor engagement experts are collaborating with the innovative teams building Chegg’s content, tools, and services to ensure they continue to improve student outcomes. In addition, Dr. Huntemann is focused on deepening Chegg’s relationships with faculty and administration, including working with Chegg’s Academic Advisory Board, a group of senior academic leaders who provide guidance to help the company better understand and respond to the needs and challenges of today’s educators.

With more than two decades of experience in higher education and digital learning, Huntemann is widely recognized as one of the preeminent voices in the use of technology to improve student outcomes. Prior to joining Chegg, she served as Vice President of Learning at edX, a global online learning platform, where she worked with educators to transform their teaching to incorporate online learning. Before that, she was a tenured professor at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts in the Department of Communication and Journalism, where she taught and published research in digital media studies. Dr Huntemann joined Chegg at the end of 2021, and reports to Nathan Schultz, President of Chegg Learning Services.
