Live performance at Dayforce Discover transforms distracting workplace alerts into a classical composition
Dayforce, Inc., a global human capital management (HCM) leader that makes work life better, brought the distractions of the modern workplace to life through Workestra, an original musical performance at Dayforce Discover that explored what can happen when digital interruptions give way to meaningful work.
At the company’s flagship customer conference in Las Vegas, a quintet of classical musicians kicked off the Innovation Keynote with a reimagined version of Vivaldi’s Spring from The Four Seasons. Using their instruments to recreate familiar workplace pings, buzzes, and alerts, the musicians turned the digital noise of everyday work into an evolving composition. As the music unfolded, a cacophony of distractions gradually gave way to harmony, creating an unexpected and memorable opening for thousands of attendees.

More than entertainment, the performance offered a creative take on a familiar workplace reality: not every distraction is avoidable, but the way work gets done can be made simpler. That idea carried into the Innovation Keynote, where Dayforce unveiled its Agentic HCM Platform, designed to help organizations reduce complexity, take action, and move work forward.
“Making work life better is about finding harmony among the tasks and to-dos — to create space for the work you’re meant to do,” said Eric Glass, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Dayforce. “Workestra captured a reality we all recognize: work is often noisy and complex. Our opportunity with AI is to cut through that complexity, and create more space to focus on meaningful work.”
The performance concept was developed in collaboration with creative agency Rethink.
“Studies show that working professionals are interrupted by alerts and notifications 275 times a day — that’s once every two minutes. By turning these chaotic sounds into a classical composition, Workestra highlights how Dayforce has the potential to transform workplace chaos into harmony,” said Don Shelford, Executive Creative Director at Rethink.
