Company Announces Changes to Executive Structure With New Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Information Officer
Vari, the workspace innovation company, is bolstering its executive team, promoting Sean Scogin from chief marketing officer to chief revenue officer and bringing a seasoned executive, Jeff Dinard, on as new chief information officer.
Vari, best known for its sit-stand desk VariDesk, announced its multi-million dollar rebrand Feb. 24, 2020. This leadership structure is designed to support the company as it continues to scale.
Sean joined Vari in 2014 as a founding executive. He played a major role in growing the company from nine employees to 350 and expanding from one innovative product with millions of fans to a full line of more than 200 flexible workspace solutions — with another 300 in the pipeline. In 2019, the American Marketing Association named Sean DFW Marketer of the Year and in February 2020, he made Dallas Business Journal‘s 40 Under 40 list. In his new role, Scogin will drive sales across each of the company’s distribution channels with both the Sales and Marketing departments under his leadership.

Jeff joined the company in February 2020 and was recently an Enterprise Finalist for the 2020 Dallas CIO of the Year award. Before Highland Homes, Jeff held a number of executive roles in technology in the retail and restaurant industries, including CIO at On the Border, and vice president of Information Technology for Corner Bakery Cafe. Jeff will lead the Technology team at Vari and is charged with defining and setting the strategic vision for the ways in which technology will drive innovation and elevate cultures.

“Our transformation to Vari reflects our evolution to a workspace innovation company, and now we need to make sure we have the right leaders in place to take us to the next phase,” said Jason McCann, chief executive officer, Vari. “We already know Sean is a talent and driven leader, and that we can turn to him to continue to lead us forward as his responsibilities expand. And I’m thrilled to have another amazing leader on the executive team. Jeff’s onboarding fills a critical role and he’ll push us to raise the bar in Technology, innovate, and explore new ideas.”
The company’s shift to a B2B model is already in full swing as the company’s “big picture” approach to workspace is about more than office furniture. A simple purchasing process and full suite of flexible, innovative solutions make it easy to build a positive culture for companies in a space that can adapt and change. Over the last several years, the company has also embraced broader business opportunities, including its commercial real estate venture VariSpace, which offers space-as-a-service.
