Amazon  announced that it is hiring 150,000 employees throughout the U.S. in full-time, seasonal, and part-time roles across its operations network. A diverse range of roles—from packing and picking to sorting and shipping—are available to applicants from all backgrounds and experience levels. Employees can earn, on average, more than $19 per hour based on position and location in the U.S. Interested candidates can see all the regions with open positions .

New Gallup Wellbeing And Workplace Study Finds Employee Recognition Can Help Mitigate $322 Billion Cost Of Global Turnover And Lost Productivity

Workhuman and Gallup released their latest report, Amplifying Wellbeing at Work and Beyond Through the Power of Recognition, which highlights strong connections between employee wellbeing and overall company growth and success. In a large-scale study of more than 12,000 employees across 12 countries, Gallup and Workhuman found that when employees are recognized at work, they are up to 10 times as likely to strongly agree that they belong at their organization. Similarly, employees who lack a strong sense of belonging are up to 12 times as likely to be disengaged and five times as likely to be looking for another job. Additionally, the research shows that — across many countries — high-quality recognition is strongly associated with lower rates of burnout.

Compt Benchmark Study Reveals Top Employee Perks For Open Enrollment

Compt, an employee perk stipend software company optimized for the modern, more-flexible workplace, released its findings from its mid-year employee perks benchmarking study. The study pulls data from over 140,000 individual stipend purchases from January through July, 2022 and highlights a transformation in how companies support employees with an emphasis on wellbeing. These spending categories are top of mind for HR teams as they go into open enrollment and budget renewal discussions with a desire to continue improving the employee experience through personalization.

New Workforce Initiative Will Connect Immigrants And Refugees In Rural Areas With Employment Opportunities

Jobs for the Future (JFF), a national nonprofit driving transformation in the American workforce and education systems, announced an ambitious two-year initiative for economic advancement for immigrants, refugees, and migrant workers in rural areas. The Rural Immigrant Success Exchange (RISE), a partnership with Ascendium and the World Education Services (WES) Mariam Assefa Fund, will build a network of education and training providers that will break down barriers to education, training, and employment for immigrant and refugee workers residing in rural communities across the United States.
