Mendy Friedman Joins Alliant Insurance Services’ Employee Benefits Group in Chicago

Actuarial consultant to deliver data-driven benefits strategies that optimize health and welfare programs

Mendy Friedman has joined Alliant Insurance Services as First Vice President within its Employee Benefits Group. The Chicago-based consultant will partner with a diverse portfolio of employers to design and implement data-driven health and welfare strategies that balance cost, mitigate risk, and enhance employee experience.

“Mendy brings a high-level analytical approach to benefits strategy, helping clients make informed decisions in an increasingly complex healthcare environment,” said Kevin Overbey, President, Alliant Employee Benefits. “His depth of experience in actuarial modeling and plan design strengthens his ability to deliver impactful, forward-thinking solutions.”

Friedman is an employee benefits actuarial consultant with experience supporting large and mid-sized employers in crafting benefits strategies, structuring plans, and developing pricing and budgeting frameworks. His areas of focus include network contracting evaluation, retiree medical strategy, and alternative health plans. He is also experienced in mathematical modeling, data analytics, and predictive modeling, with a background in data mining initiatives.

Prior to joining Alliant, Friedman was a Senior Principal with a global employee benefits consulting firm. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in finance from Touro University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
