The mandate requires employers to ensure employees are either fully vaccinated against Covid or that they have Covid testing weekly. Employees must provide official documentation of vaccination such as a vaccination record card. Employers must then review the documentation, confirm an employee’s vaccine status, and securely retain records, which could be a complicated process without the right technology.

For employees, the Covid Passport is accessible via an app and web and allows them to record their vaccination status and store their vaccination card. They can track the results of Covid tests as well as get reminders for weekly testing and future vaccination doses. The app allows employees to manage their vaccination exemption and take an optional daily Covid risk assessment questionnaire.
With the mandate in effect, there may be many unknowns, but the SmartFHR platform is flexible and can adopt to changing requirements. Organizations can use different access rights and permissions to allow specific leaders and administrators to view Covid vaccination information and test results, manage exemption requests and approvals, manage employee groups, and run detailed reports, among other tasks. The secure platform provides data encryption and compliance and can be integrated with corporate systems and HR processes.
