Cella Honored for Best Work-Based Learning Program in U.S. Staffing and Recruiting Industry
  • Cella’s Managed In-House Agency Masters Summit Provides Training and Professional Development Specific to Creative Services Leaders

Cella, a nationwide staffing, consulting and managed solutions firm, announced that the company was honored with a 2021 American Staffing Association Elevate Award honorable mention distinction. This national awards program recognizes the most innovative and effective programs to train, upskill, and reskill temporary and contract employees. Cella was honored for its Managed In-house Agency (MIA) Masters Summit, a program specifically designed for leaders in the creative services industry to help them gain fundamental leadership skills and technical and operational training.

“Many creative team leaders have received very little, if any, leadership and managerial training. Most were subject matter experts with an ability to take on informal leadership responsibilities until they were recognized by their managers as individuals capable of managing a team,” said Jackie Schaffer, Executive Vice President, Cella. “This leaves large gaps in needed expertise in areas including, finance, resourcing, project management and people management. The objective of the MIA Masters Summit is to provide a space where leaders can take a step back from their day-to-day activities and take a holistic view of their businesses, and to engage with other leaders and share challenges and solutions. We’re extremely proud that this program has been recognized by ASA, and believe it is empowering the leadership of Cella MIAs to be able to effectively lead their teams to continued success.”

New and innovative technologies and ways of working are introduced to the group along with business case studies highlighting how different teams have managed growth, new business demands and new company expectations and mandates. Since the program began in 2015, Cella has doubled the bottom line of its MIA service line as well as growing the size of its team and capabilities
