Anthology Appoints Three New Independent Board Members, Expanding Technology and Institutional Depth of Higher Education Leadership

Dr. Walter Bumphus, Reid French and Dr. Daniel Greenstein join Board as Newest Directors Shaping Company’s Evolution

Anthology, a leading provider of proven higher education software that supports the entire learner lifecycle, today announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Dr. Walter G. Bumphus, President and CEO of the American Association of Community Colleges; Reid French, Managing Director of Essex Gate Ventures; and Dr. Daniel Greenstein, Chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

Dr. Bumphus currently serves as President and CEO of the American Association of Community Colleges. He brings wide-reaching community college expertise, having previously served as a professor in the Community College Leadership Program, as Chair of the Department of Educational Administration at The University of Texas at Austin, and as President of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.

Mr. French currently serves as Managing Director of Essex Gate Ventures, a technology investment firm focused on B2B cloud software businesses. He brings a wealth of cloud software expertise as a board member of Autodesk and as former CEO of Applied Systems, and he is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Davidson College.

Dr. Greenstein currently serves as Chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. He has deep experience driving student and university success, having formerly served as Vice Provost of the University of California and as Director of Postsecondary Success at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
