Check Point Software Enhances Its SASE Solution to Securely Connect the Remote and Hybrid Workforce

Caribbean Utilities Company, Ltd., announced it is the latest company to sign on to a groundbreaking research partnership between the University of Oxford and remote employee coaching start-up CareerPoint.com.

A spokesperson for CareerPoint said the nine-month study to be conducted by the University of Oxford’s Kellogg College will investigate attitudes towards career advancement among young professional employees and the impact of coaching interventions on performance, engagement, and career advancement.

PREDICTIONS SERIES 2022

“We’re delighted to welcome a truly progressive employer like CUC to our Corporate Research Program,” said CareerPoint Founder and CEO Steve McIntosh. “Numerous studies have shown that providing career development and advancement opportunities is key to engagement and retention. We’re excited to be involved with this ground-breaking Oxford study and looking forward to the invaluable insights it will yield for corporate partners like CUC.”

The CareerPoint Corporate Research Program is open to companies in all industry sectors in North America, the UK, and Ireland. Participating companies nominate between 10 and 50 young professional employees who each receive personalized CareerPoint coaching over a four-week period. Pre- and post-intervention surveys measure employees’ attitudes, and perceptions towards career advancement benchmarked against the study population.

Professor William Scott-Jackson, Research Director at the Oxford Centre for Employee Engagement, said, “Career coaching has long been restricted to those at the top of organizations. This important study will explore the individual and organizational impact of providing this valuable tool for staff at all levels. This has been made possible through the support of far-sighted companies like Elemental and the development of the new ‘democratized’ coaching model by CareerPoint”.

Richard Hew (President & CEO) from CUC said, ”As a company aiming to provide world class service to a small jurisdiction that is competing globally in tourism and financial services, employee development has to be a key element of our human capital strategy. We were therefore excited about the prospect of accelerating the development of our young professionals and are pleased to be engaged in the CareerPoint/University of Oxford early coaching intervention study.”
