Workforce Logiq Commits to Net Zero Status Across Global Operations by 2025

  • Leading workforce management services provider taps ClimatePartner in global initiative to measure, reduce, and offset all scopes of carbon emissions and achieve alignment with the Paris Agreement

Workforce Logiq, a global provider of AI-powered workforce intelligence, technology, and services, announces its commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its global operations by 2025. Workforce Logiq has tapped ClimatePartner, a European-based climate action solution provider, to help measure all scopes of its emissions and provide data-driven insight to maximize carbon footprint reductions and offset unavoidable emissions.

“Putting more power behind our ESG initiatives with ClimatePartner will enable us to set and achieve a new standard for sustainability leadership, and also increase our competitiveness in the market.”

The project, which was inspired by feedback from Workforce Logiq’s global team member stakeholders and client partners, expands Workforce Logiq’s existing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) programs by coordinating all efforts into a corporate-wide initiative under its Global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Council.

“Workforce Logiq is committed to addressing the concerns that matter most to our clients and employees, especially those which impact the communities in which they live and work. We take pride in our company’s spirit of innovation, and our commitment to show tangible, quantifiable results in everything we do,” said Jim Burke, Workforce Logiq’s CEO.

Workforce Logiq chose to work with ClimatePartner for its proven track record of helping global companies measure and reduce their scope 1 (direct emissions from owned or controlled sources), scope 2 (indirect emissions from the purchase of electricity, heating, and cooling), and scope 3 carbon emissions (emissions that occur within a company’s value chain), which are often the majority of a company’s carbon footprint. ClimatePartner was also selected for its unique ability to calculate home office footprints as more employees now regularly work remotely.

Workforce Logiq’s first step is working towards carbon neutrality by measuring and offsetting all scopes of its carbon emissions. Workforce Logiq will then implement avoidance and reduction measures and offset unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions to reach its ultimate goal of net zero status.

ClimatePartner will audit energy usage at Workforce Logiq’s corporate and home offices around the world, employee commuting patterns to both local and global offices and client locations, fuel efficiency, business travel, external data centers, and more using its cloud-based software. This insight into emissions hotspots and reduction and avoidance opportunities will enable Workforce Logiq to set bold and ambitious targets for reducing and offsetting its global climate impact and reach net zero status. Workforce Logiq has more than 900 global team members; 60% are located outside of the U.S., with many based in Sweden and India. Every region in which Workforce Logiq employees work and live will be covered in this initiative.

Workforce Logiq will offset its currently unavoidable carbon emissions with projects that not only help counteract the release of GHG emissions, but also cover the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The social and environmental initiatives will focus on efforts that improve the communities in which Workforce Logiq global colleagues and partners live and work, such as clean drinking water and air, forest protection, wind energy, agriculture, and more. Workforce Logiq will take input from global team members on the offsets into consideration.

“As a values-driven organization, Workforce Logiq is constantly looking for new ways to give back. Beyond the direct community impact, going net zero will enable us to advise and partner with clients on ESG, just like we do with diversity and inclusion priorities,” said William T. Rolack Sr., Workforce Logiq’s VP of Diversity & Inclusion and Head of its Global D&I Council. “Putting more power behind our ESG initiatives with ClimatePartner will enable us to set and achieve a new standard for sustainability leadership, and also increase our competitiveness in the market.”

Workforce Logiq’s Global D&I Council is designed to foster total inclusion within the company and its culture. The council consists of four key areas, including workplace culture, the workforce, social responsibility, and the marketplace, which places a major emphasis on being best-in-class and best-in-industry.
