Perficient first introduced Scarlett to its colleagues in Latin America and the U.S. With today’s global launch, Scarlett is now available to nearly 7,000 Perficient colleagues worldwide.

“We are thrilled to introduce our AI chatbot Scarlett as part of our ongoing commitment to finding new, innovative ways to enhance the employee experience,” said Michael Zucker, vice president of IT, Perficient. “By leveraging the power of AI, we are providing colleagues with a seamless and efficient way to access information and support, ultimately empowering them to focus on their core responsibilities and drive business success. Colleagues have quickly embraced Scarlett as a valued member of the Perficient team.”

Guided by Perficient’s own AI policy and AI Steering Committee, Perficient built Scarlett to increase employee productivity while mitigating security, privacy, and compliance risks. Scarlett uses several resources to formulate responses to colleague prompts, including a pre-built logic function, a custom knowledge base, the Perficient Academy learning center, and the latest technologies from Microsoft Azure and OpenAI.

“Scarlett uses a trifecta of generative AI, business logic, and generative models to communicate with users and provide a balanced, transparent approach that meets our business needs without sacrificing user experience,” said Gustavo Azambuja, systems business analyst, Perficient. “This robust and adaptable structure makes Scarlett a key piece in our digitalization and process optimization strategy. We are excited to continue expanding Scarlett’s capabilities and find more ways to enable colleague success.”

Scarlett is the latest resource Perficient has introduced leveraging generative AI. Since 2023, Perficient’s Generative AI Innovation Group (IG) has driven innovation around generative AI tools and capabilities for its colleagues and clients alike. In addition, Perficient’s GenAI Innovation Lab, a subset of leaders from the IG working in global blended scrum teams, has developed 18 use cases so far this year, including an accelerator for conversational mobile apps that create engaging and personalized chat experiences across platforms for clients. Additionally, Perficient’s GenAI Innovation Lab has streamlined and automated Perficient’s internal processes, such as generating statements of work, requests for proposals, and supporting sales and marketing.
