Thumbtack, a leading local services marketplace, today announced it has added Melanie Margolin as Chief Legal Officer. Margolin will oversee the company’s legal organization, reporting to Marco Zappacosta, co-founder and CEO of Thumbtack.

“Melanie’s more than two decades leading legal teams and providing strategic guidance to executive teams at large public companies is the perfect addition to our executive ranks,” said Marco Zappacosta, co-founder and CEO of Thumbtack. “Her deep legal, operational, and management experience will help us achieve our next level of growth.”
Margolin has served as an executive committee member and strategic advisor to public companies. She has worked collaboratively on leadership teams to establish and execute company-wide objectives including annual operating plans, human resources strategy, business development initiatives, and transformations of boards of directors. Also among her achievements is designing and implementing a global litigation strategy for a $24 billion global power corporation.
