The Josh Bersin Academy, the world’s first global professional development academy for HR, announced a formal partnership with Visier, a recognized leader in people analytics and planning, to help HR professionals across all functions harness the power of people analytics to better inform decision making and strategy.
Visier was chosen as a strategic innovative partner to work with the Academy on the development of People Analytics, its newest program, designed to give HR professionals a comprehensive knowledge foundation spanning the value of analytics, how analytics can inform decision-making processes in all HR functions, the roles of qualitative and quantitative data, and how to use analytics to make compelling business cases.

“One of the common things we hear from HR professionals is a universal desire to use people data in a way that helps improve business outcomes,” said Paul Rubenstein, chief people officer of Visier. “Through our partnership, the Josh Bersin Academy now offers a comprehensive guide to understanding people analytics and how its effective use can inform critical business decisions. We believe this unique program will help HR organizations around the world tackle the challenges related to digital transformation.”
The People Analytics program is comprised of five field manuals: The Analytics Revolution, Creative Questions, Meaningful Data, Insightful Analysis, and Persuasive Communications. Each field manual includes explanation of key concepts, collaborative exercises, and case studies on topics such as tackling talent acquisition challenges through analytics and building an analytics practice.
The cohort-based program is supplemented with a continually-expanding resource library covering topics such as defining data roles, data-driven coaching, building a career in analytics, and solving the right problems. The program concludes by asking participants to create a plan for tackling a relevant challenge in their own organization using available data and tools.

“Analytics should be core to HR decision-making, but many HR organizations lack the tools, and analytics capabilities, to make best use of the data at hand and take steps to move to higher levels of analytic sophistication. Our goal with this program is to provide a foundation of knowledge that HR organizations can use to facilitate their own digital transformation, as well as that of the wider workforce,” said Josh Bersin, global independent analyst and dean of the Josh Bersin Academy. “We chose Visier as our strategic partner for this course because of its long-standing thought leadership and strong track record of customer success.”
People Analytics is one of eight programs currently available in the Josh Bersin Academy. Annual memberships, which provide access to all programs, resources, and the Academy’s global community, are available to individuals, HR teams, and entire HR organizations.
