HR Tech Quotes-of-the-week!
I think one of the more positive changes we’ve seen is a realization that businesses can, for the most part, operate successfully with a remote workforce. There’s also been a sort of humanization of the workforce: seeing a dog or child on video calls has reminded us that we’ve all got home lives outside of work. This contributes to a collaborative spirit many companies are experiencing: a banding together to support each other during this time.
The most important factor for driving a successful long-term remote work strategy is to make sure your employees have tools that are designed to be “Remote First.” The software we used in an office environment may now be completely ineffectual with a remote workforce. Remember when most websites barely worked on mobile phones? Just as most websites have evolved to be “Mobile First”, our work software (HR, Finance, Support, Operations, Sales, Marketing) is evolving to natively expect remote workers.

HR Tech QnA with the Expert
The way we work has forever changed. Businesses need to trust their employees to work from home and manage their time well. Managers should set goals, check-in frequently and use tools like Slack to stay in touch. Encourage employees to share family photos and continue to connect on a personal and professional level to keep everyone rowing in the same direction.
