SeekOut Hires First Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Exponential Growth, Adds Independent Board Member

  • Leadership Expansion Comes On the Heels of Series C Fundraise and Billion Dollar Valuation

SeekOut, the AI-powered Talent 360 platform, announced that it has hired Kristin Scott as its first Chief Revenue Officer. The addition to the team comes as the company seeks to accelerate their leadership position in talent acquisition, and focus on the delivery of Enterprise Talent Optimization that enables internal mobility, employee retention, career pathing, and learning and development. SeekOut has experienced exponential growth in the past year, increasing ARR by more than 3x, and doubling its customer count.

“The number one challenge facing CEOs and companies today is their ability to attract, hire and retain top talent. SeekOut’s technology opens an entire universe of external and internal candidates across all job functions and skill levels that companies could not previously find”

Scott joins SeekOut from nearly a decade working at Appian, a low-code automation platform. As Vice President of North American Sales, Scott led Appian’s new customer acquisition, expansion and renewal business across North America, helping grow the company almost 10x during her time there. Prior to her time at Appian, Scott held a variety of roles at CEB Gartner, where she advised Fortune 500 executives on best practices and thought leadership.

“SeekOut is at an exciting juncture – we’re experiencing massive growth as our talent-acquisition product is being widely adopted by enterprises,” said Anoop Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO at SeekOut. “Kristin brings tremendous experience helping companies address complexity and scale as we embark on the next phase of our growth journey. During her tenure, Appian underwent exponential growth and was the number one tech IPO of 2017. Her track record makes her the perfect addition to SeekOut, and we look forward to welcoming her to the team.”

In her new role, Kristin will be responsible for developing, implementing, and driving SeekOut’s sales strategy and execution as the company scales beyond a single-product, to a multi-product, multi-channel company supporting enterprises across different segments and industries.

“The number one challenge facing CEOs and companies today is their ability to attract, hire and retain top talent. SeekOut’s technology opens an entire universe of external and internal candidates across all job functions and skill levels that companies could not previously find,” said Scott. “In speaking with Anoop and the leadership team, I immediately recognized our shared values. I am thrilled by the opportunity to help SeekOut continue its explosive growth and support companies to manage their most valuable assets, their people.”

SeekOut also named Elissa Fink – previously an advisor to the company – as a new, independent board member. For over a decade, Fink was the CMO for Tableau Software where she helped grow the company from a startup with $5 million in annual revenue to a public company with over $1 billion in annual revenue. Since then, she’s helped fast-growing tech companies take a data-informed approach to assess, position, and execute at scale. Fink also currently serves on the board of pre-IPO unicorns such as Qumulo, Dataiku and Pantheon.

Since its Series B raise in March, 2021, SeekOut has invested in expanding its executive team. The company has brought on Vikas Rajvanshy, formerly at Microsoft, as VP of Engineering, Jennifer Armstrong-Owen, formerly at Chef and RealNetworks, as VP of People, and Amy Barone, formerly at Slack and Tableau, as VP of Marketing.
