Cadient’s platform was created to support high-volume hourly hiring and already incorporates a wealth of capabilities in the area of descriptive statistics to help customers better understand and manage their hiring process. As a chief data scientist, Nisbet will transform Cadient’s machine learning capabilities into visual representations of data in a way that can provide human resource managers and operations teams with a clearer picture of hiring needs. He will oversee the analytics that augments the uniquely human role in the hiring process, to support each phase of the hiring journey.

Nisbet, a 30-year veteran at SAS, was head of research and development and a leader in applications of SAS technology for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and deep learning. He directed a global team responsible for the strategic development and management of SAS Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Customer Intelligence, DevOps, UX/UI, and Data Management solutions.

“We are excited to expand our data analytics offerings to help make our client’s jobs easier,” said Jim Buchanan, CEO. “Stuart will help our clients further predict hiring trends by providing them a clear visual representation of their hiring and retention needs.”

Cadient is leveraging advanced analytics to both predict hiring trends based on a vast collection of historical data, and to help prescribe what changes to hiring practices will most effectively yield the results that customers require, which in turn improve turnover, retention, and the overall talent base. Additionally, the software combines incoming applicant data with previous hiring data and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) performance information to extract complex patterns of optimal hiring criteria. This is not humanly feasible with thousands of applications to be considered per week. Cadient will reinforce and support this process with their progressive tools and teamwork of leaders.
