4imprint Study Reveals 2019 Recruiting Trends

When candidates apply for a job, the vast majority (85%) of HR pros evaluate work experience during the interview process. While work experience is commonly evaluated, just 14% of HR pros surveyed rate it as the most important attribute they evaluate. In fact, they say cultural fit (34%) and qualifications (22%) are more important to evaluate to find the right candidate.

The research, presented in the newly released 2019 Recruiting Trends e-book from 4imprint, provides a snapshot of how HR pros recruit in 2019 and their views on what works and what doesn’t during the hiring process.

Among the other findings from the survey:

  • Online job boards are both the most used recruiting technique (69%) and the most successful (29%).
  • More than 1/3 (34%) rate cultural fit the most important candidate attribute.
  • More than half of HR professionals use branded pens during the recruiting process.
