Joint Customers Would Be Able To Switch Easily Between Apps
Slack has just announced at its Slack Frontiers Conference held in London that it is strengthening ties with Salesforce to mark a new phase in the Slack-Salesforce relationship. As a result of this development, customers using both Slack and Salesforce will be able to switch more swiftly between the popular Cloud services.
Salesforce has been one of the earliest partners of Slack. As users kept growing, so did the demands for even richer integrations across both the apps. Release of the new Salesforce app for Slack brings an avenue of possibilities to the table. It includes an important update to the already existing Sales Cloud integration, in addition to a completely fresh integration with Service Cloud. There are numerous other team collaboration tools/apps in the marketplace such as Miro, Blizz by Teamviewer, Samepage, and talkspirit, but none come close to offering such power-packed features.

The release of new integrations realizes the shared commitments of Slack and Salesforce towards providing a rich experience across an expanded range of product integrations. The newly added features aim to help joint customers collaborate more competently across both the tools. This also means that the 12 million existing monthly customers of Slack will be able to search for and share customer records of Salesforce without having to leave the Slack chat window. Also, Slack conversations can be attached directly to Salesforce. The move will support the overall success of the customers by boosting their team productivity and collaboration. Integration between these two service providers has made it easy for sales executives to access critical account information with ease.
Brad Armstrong, VP of Corporate and Business Development at Slack said, “We continue to see our customers demand seamless integrations between business-critical solutions such as Salesforce and Slack. The new Sales Cloud and Service Cloud integrations deliver on the promise of the Slack Platform, bringing together people, applications and data, especially for Sales and Service professionals.” Brad went on to add that these integrations have deepened the alignment between the two organizations and will together provide the best customer experience across both the platforms. All they need to do is download the Salesforce for Slack app from the Slack Apps Directory.
