Held virtually over three days, over 100 women professionals at Mercer Advisors gathered to hear from industry luminaries key note speakers, including Carrie Schwab-Pomeranz, Board Chair and President of the Charles Schwab Foundation, Stacey Winning, Deputy Head of HR for Dimensional Fund Advisors, and Kristen Johnson, Vice President, Practice Management and Consulting for Fidelity Investments. These three industry leaders shared their experience, advice, and guidance for developing a successful career as a female professional in wealth management and best practices for working with women clients.
Additionally, the agenda featured the theme, “Invest In You” through interactive discussions, breakout sessions and networking opportunities to help prepare and groom the female leaders of Mercer Advisors. Key topics unique to the female experience in wealth management that resonated with the attendees included, Leading From Any Seat, Navigating Ambiguity, Executive Presence, and Tips for Giving and Receiving Feedback.

“We launched InvestHERs in mid 2018 to address a glaring issue in the industry that women have been underrepresented in financial services and have seen an overwhelming positive response, not only from the female team members at Mercer Advisors, but also from the industry,” said Karen Lee, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for Mercer Advisors. “InvestHERs has been well received at the firm and we now have over 100 women in mentorship programs where they are gaining skills, learning from their peers and extending the message that there are tremendous opportunities for women in wealth management.”
