Survalent Technology launches Self-Paced Learning Program

New, flexible training courses enhance Survalent’s existing suite of online and in-person training options

Survalent Technology Corporation, the most trusted provider of SCADA and advanced distribution management system (ADMS) software, announced today at its annual Global User Conference the launch of a modular, self-paced learning program. This new virtual option expands Survalent’s diverse software training options beyond scheduled, instructor-led sessions to better support international utilities and to accommodate the busy, sometimes unpredictable schedules of utility personnel.

Survalent’s Self-Paced Learning Program is the latest in a series of training enhancements that enable its customers to maximize the value of their investment in Survalent software. “While our in-person training continues to be a popular option for North American utilities, we recognized that we needed to deliver high quality training in an online environment that was accessible to all our customers,” says Barb McLatchie, Director, Channel Partners, who oversees Survalent’s training options. “We began developing new online options last year, which enabled us to roll out instructor-led Virtual Enablement training just as the pandemic placed restrictions on travel and in-person gathering sizes. With our Self-Paced Learning Program, our customers now have a full range of options to equip their staff with the knowledge they need to increase productivity and make best use of the Survalent platform’s robust capabilities.”

The Self-Paced Learning Program’s inaugural offering is the SurvalentONE SCADA System Level 1 Course, which introduces students to the operational concepts of real-time SCADA systems and the SurvalentONE SCADA application. Consisting of eight modules, the course explores network communications, basic databases and graphic user interfaces (GUI), trouble-shooting techniques, and maintenance procedures. Unlike Survalent’s instructor-led courses, the new self-directed program allows users to log in whenever they want and learn at their own pace. Upon successful completion of the course modules and final exam, participants will earn 40 professional development hours or four continuing education units and a certificate.

In addition to the Self-Paced Learning Program, Survalent will continue to deliver a variety of virtual enablement courses and in-person and virtual classroom training. View the full course schedule at https://www.survalent.com/course-offerings
