Rainbow Shops Helps Employees Excel with Infor

Infor Learning Management System to Deliver Rich Employee Training and Development

Infor, a global leader in business cloud software for Enterprise and SMB companies, announced that Rainbow Shops, a fashion retailer based in New York, has selected Infor to modernize learning and training across the organization. With more than 1,000 locations, and 12,000 employees, Rainbow will use Infor Learning Management Systems (LMS) to better track, distribute, and manage all training and compliance. Infor LMS is a cloud-based system that helps organizations capture, convey, and expand knowledge, and can be accessed from any device, at any time.

“At Rainbow, training is critical to ensuring our employees are up to speed on the latest information not only to serve the customer better, but also to be compliant with various legislative requirements including the new NY State Sexual Harassment training requirements. We want to make sure that our entire workforce is provided with the training they need, when it is needed and through their mobile device. By partnering with Infor, we are able to achieve these goals and modernize our learning processes,” said Adin Goldberg, Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Rainbow. “Infor LMS will allow us to streamline and provide a mechanism to distribute best-in-class training to our employees and serve our customers better.”

Infor LMS will help Rainbow create, publish, deliver, manage, and track learning content from a single platform. The organization has access to applications to develop and create new training, on any topic, at any moment, and all the back-end tracking necessary to gauge its impact on sales revenue. The Content Creator module will also provide Rainbow with the ability to create micro-learnings, and teams can quickly disseminate small, bite-sized training to the entire salesforce. Also, through Infor’s partnership with OpenSesame Inc. an industry leading provider of e-learning courses for the enterprise, Rainbow will have access to thousands of courses in topics spanning business and soft skills, IT/technology, industry-specific, compliance, safety, and certifications.

With this new system in place, Rainbow will be able to test employees to ensure that they understood course content and training, including a robust certification program. The HR teams can deliver strategic, engaging content across the company to drive performance, productivity, compliance and a consistent customer experience. Rainbow will be able to enhance and maintain consistency in brand messaging by standardizing learning across the organization, ultimately creating a more engaged customer-facing workforce and accelerate the rate at which employees achieve their full potential by speeding knowledge transfer.  Infor LMS allows store-level managers at Rainbow to have direct insight to these trainings, which helps keep their stores current and compliant, and reduces administrative burdens previously put on the corporate-level teams.

“Various jurisdictions continue to push through new legislative requirements for training, which require retailers to stay on top of these changes, track trainings, and evaluate compliance across regions,” said Oliver Yates, Vice President of Talent Applications, Infor. “By automating learning processes, organizations can ensure that employees are taking necessary trainings and being evaluated accordingly, which eliminates potential litigation pitfalls and keeps organizations compliant at all times.”
