PagerDuty Receives Parity.org Gateway Award for Achieving Gender Parity in Leadership Team

PagerDuty, Inc. , a global leader in digital operations management, has received Parity.org’s inaugural Gateway Award. The award recognizes organizations that have made a significant commitment to supporting women in leadership and accomplished gender parity in both their C-suite and Board of Directors, a rare achievement in any industry.

“Organizations that have achieved gender parity in leadership—their Board and C-suite—are the exception,” said Cathrin Stickney, Parity.org founder and CEO. “Despite the progress women have made in many areas, there has been little progress in the business world. Barely 20% of S&P 500 corporate executive teams and board seats are held by women. PagerDuty’s achievement is a very rare one, and we hope it encourages others to follow suit, because it doesn’t need to take the predicted 200 years to achieve gender parity. We can do it in our lifetime if we all make a concerted effort. PagerDuty should be proud of this achievement, and we applaud their results.”

“Fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive company is a core focus for us,” said Joe Militello, Chief People Officer at PagerDuty. “These values not only reflect our belief system, they are critical to helping us drive the business forward. As a company we must reflect our customer base and the broader community, and show leadership on important issues. We are honored to be recognized with this award from Parity.org.”

This is the latest award for PagerDuty that acknowledges the company’s dedication to quality culture and employee representation. Most recently, PagerDuty achieved 2019 certification as one of the “Great Places to Work” in the United States. For two years running, the company has also been listed as one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
