Next Generation of Collaboration Tool ‘Polaris Office’ Reaches 100 Million Global Users

A South Korea-based Cloud Office ‘Polaris Office’ has exceeded 100 million global users in just six years since its launch.

In the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the number of new subscribers has increased significantly as non-face-to-face activities such as telecommuting, online classes and videoconferencing have increased in many countries.

New users increased more than 70 percent compared to January, and paid subscribers surged nearly 140 percent compared to the previous year. Demand is expected to continue to grow as the remote working environment has become a new culture after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Polaris Office is an office software with an average of more than 50,000 new users every day and used in 243 global countries such as North America, South America, and Europe. Polaris Office can be used not only on PC but also on mobile and it supports all document files such as PDF, ODF, TXT as well as MS Office such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The number of subscribers is increasing rapidly, mainly in South Korea, the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Italy, etc.

Polaris Office is a cloud-based service that enables co-editing of documents, providing convenience in terms of business collaboration. Based on this convenience, Swit, which won the ‘Growth Startup of the Year’ at Startup Grind’s 2020 Global Conference, signed a strategic partnership in May. Starting with this, Polaris Office continuously plans to strengthen collaboration services to maximize productivity as well as integrate with other services.

According to the U.S. research institute Reportlinker, the global collaboration tool market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 11 percent and grow to about 59.9 billion dollars by 2023.
