Indeed Announces New Solution to Expedite Hiring Process

Indeed Hiring Events Gives Job Seekers Opportunity for In-Person Interviews and Job Offers

Indeed, the world’s number #1 job site, announced the general availability of Indeed Hiring Events, a solution aimed at expediting the hiring process for both job seekers and employers. Indeed Hiring Events is now available in multiple countries, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom and Ireland.

“Indeed Hiring Events streamline the manual process of screening and scheduling qualified applicants for their first interview, shortening the interview process to hours instead of days, weeks or months,” said Maggie Hulce, Senior Vice President at Indeed.  “This frees employers to focus on what they do best, engaging with candidates and making great hires”.

Employers who sign up to host a hiring event are able to create an event page which lists the positions they have available for immediate hire. Once created, Indeed’s technology handles the event page’s promotion on the job search site, tracks applicant RSVPs, and assists with pre-screening candidates. Job seekers can view the open positions and sign up to attend an employer’s hiring event for the opportunity to meet with employers, allowing them to showcase their skills beyond the resume. Job seekers who attend Indeed Hiring Events have the possibility of receiving an offer or interview advancement the same day.

Indeed Hiring Events is a graduate of Indeed’s internal venture capital program which allows all employees to be entrepreneurs by giving them the ability to pitch product ideas to Indeed’s leadership team and receive the resources and mentorship they need to launch new products.

Since Indeed Hiring Events launched as part of the program, over 30,000 employer hosted hiring events have taken place in more than 3,500 cities globally. Employers who have hosted include: Best Buy, Cracker Barrel, Enterprise Car Rental, Goodwill, IKEA, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Kohls, Target, UPS, and Verizon.
