Dam will oversee the advancements of HealthJoy’s software and applications architecture
HealthJoy has appointed Sajal Dam as chief information officer (CIO). Previously serving as the company’s VP of engineering, Dam will further lead the development and delivery of HealthJoy’s software products and focus on doubling his engineering team across Chicago, Ukraine, and remote locations within the next two years.
Dam’s mission is to provide engineering solutions that continually increase HealthJoy’s capacity to guide members to affordable, high-quality healthcare. He accomplishes this by inspiring and coaching his team to leverage best-in-class software processes and technologies that drive elite software delivery performance for best throughput and stability. As CIO, Dam will lead his group into its next journey to leverage domain-driven design and microservices architecture for parallel feature teams that are both autonomous and aligned — increasing the speed of delivery, stability, and scalability of the HealthJoy platform.

Dam is a trailblazer in software engineering and IT infrastructure and brings more than 26 years of experience to the role. Prior to HealthJoy, he was VP, Software Development at APEX Analytix, Director of Application Development at Gordmans and Fanatics, Inc., and held several leadership positions at Dell Inc., Microsoft, and more.

Dam earned a bachelor’s in engineering, industrial electronics from Pune University, a master’s in technology, computer science from the Indian Institute of Science, and an MBA from Duke University.
